Gold Rush Express Delivery has made efforts to protect our customers in 2022 from the rising gas prices. For years, we have charged a fuel surcharge, based on the price of fuel in San Jose, and updated that rate each month. In March of 2022, gas prices surged and went well above $5 per gallon. Some areas seeing around $7/gallon.

HIGHEST RECORDED AVERAGE PRICE

Since March, we have not increased our fuel surcharge based on the price of fuel. We simply capped it where it was, knowing that we need to do some restructuring of our prices and our fuel surcharge table to see us into the future. 

What does this mean, you ask? It means that we will be increasing all our rates in order to bring our fuel surcharge down. Our same day rates will be increased 10% effective January 1, 2023 and our fuel surcharge index will be restructured to reduce the amount that is charged on top of our same day rates.
